About us

We have developed a cloud software that connects any POS software with additional services as a universal interface. This is how we solve a technical problem of POS developers. At the same time, it can be used to build a marketplace that addresses the need of POS developers to expand their products. Our focus here is on ordering platforms. Our mission

Is to help POS developers and POS merchants sell more and better software for the hospitality industry. We want to drive digitalization and solve fundamental problems with interfaces. To do so, we make use of a wide variety of tools: Agile Project Management, State Of The Art Technologies, and Remote Working.

Your role at Mergeport

You will play a key role in the software development of digital in-house products. Our software is an important part of the success of our innovative product range in the area of add-on software for POS systems. Together with the existing developer team you will implement further components in the front- and backend of our main competence: universal interfaces of POS systems. In the development of interfaces you have attention to reliability, standardization and performance.

In this context, you coordinate with the product management and your team colleagues, extend the infrastructure with new features or refine already existing mechanisms. In cooperation with our tech partners, you will develop technical concepts and strategies for implementation.

In addition to the main business, you contribute your expertise to realize new innovative projects.

You

• take over a responsible position in our developer team and support the technical design of our innovative solutions
• develop and improve, together with our product management, our product
• implement new interfaces between POS systems and additional software
• are in contact with our partners and work out solutions in collaboration with them
• work on projects independently and on your own responsibility

Requirements

• You have gained profound knowledge in the domain of web development and are able to implement tasks independently
• You have already realized a project in JavaScript
• You have knowledge of APIs, interfaces and the related, various standards
• You know how agile development processes and agile project management work
• You have knowledge and experience with tools and frameworks of modern software development
• You have already gained experience with cloud architectures (e.g. with AWS)
• You are highly motivated and enjoy software development
• You are enthusiastic about new technologies
• German and English language skills
